Why do you need to use VPN to access your QBO account? Do you have the QBO Global version for New Zealand?
https://quickbooks.grsm.io/Asia-Pacific
I don't need a VPN to access QBO. When the 1st account that I connected failed to show the correct transaction date, I was concerned it was due to my IP address and location being in New Zealand.
I then experimented with a VPN located in Tampa, Florida as an experiment to test if this would fix the problem.
I added account 2 while connected to the VPN however the date problem persists.
All transactions are +1 day off.
Do you have the QBO Global version for New Zealand?
Great question. I am viewing the account details and next to ITEMS ON THIS INVOICE: QuickBooks Online Plus.
I don't see anything regarding GLOBAL QuickBooks on my invoice.
Could GLOBAL QUICKBOOKS be creating this +1 day incorrect transaction history?
If so, should I delete this account and create a new account?
Thank you for the prompt reply, @suburbanoffgrid-. Allow me to clear things up for you about this matter.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) follows the time and date on your device and doesn't use a specific time zone. With that said, I suggest you change to the time zone you need on your device. This way, your transactions will show the correct dates. Be advised that this change applies to all transactions in your QBO company.
Post a reply if you have other questions about the time and date on QBO. I'll be around to help you out. Enjoy the rest of the day!
Hi Ryan! Yes, I have read this information about the device time throughout the forums.
My devices (both iMac and windows laptop) have always been set to my business time zone in Florida.
Thanks for your swift response with screenshots of your time zone. The date and time of your transactions are affected by your computer's date and time settings.
Let's make sure it's set up correctly. Here's how:
Once done, try to create a dummy transaction and check the date and time.

Hi Katherine! I have created a test dummy transaction and the date is correct. Now, I will delete an account and hope that when I connect it again, the information is pulled in with the correct date.
I just finished a complete account purge, connected a credit card account, and the date is still off by +1 day for all transactions that QBO pulled in.
I really believe that the only solution to this is for someone at QBO to hit a button placing my account in the United States.
After purging the account twice, it automatically defaults back to NZD and not USD therefore the system is confused creating the +1 day problem.
I have done everything that I can do on my end including testing on a Mac and a Windows 10 laptop, both with correct device time based in Florida, USA.
It simply has to be an internal account settings problem that occurs when I connect a bank account or credit card account and the transactions have +1 day added automatically.
When you open a QBO Global version for NZ, your home currency should be NZD. You have to enable the multi currency feature to change the home currency to USD prior to post any transactions.

Hi Fiat Lux, yes, I changed the currency to USD the 1st moment upon opening the account and prior to connecting any accounts. Also, I had enabled multi currency as well.
It's just the +1 day issue upon connecting new accounts and pulling in the transactions.
I need a tech person at QBO to change my account from QBO Global version for NZ to whatever the version is called for the United States.
