Dear Community, please assist . My accountant put a wrong legal address for my company , an address in UAE instead of one in Uganda. its locked to UAE, how do i change it

When i try to change , all the other areas are editable but the states are locked to only states in Uganda. Some one assist becuase this is affecting my taxes

Did you see my comment? You can't change the address because you'd need to sign up for a new QBO account and migrate your data.

Hi there, Christine.

 

When the UAE was selected as the country during account set up, QBO automatically configured your account to reflect UAE-specific settings, including its states and tax structure. The selected country or region cannot be changed later, as each version of QBO is designed to comply with local tax laws, currencies, and regulatory requirements.

 

If you wish to continue changing the country to Uganda, you will need to create a new QBO subscription. This involves canceling your current account and registering a new one with the correct country and company information.
