Hello rosedj1219,

 

I hate to see you go, but I'll be sure to guide you in canceling your subscription.

 

Before we do this, please know that for paid subscriptions, we'll keep the data for up to a year. You can consider printing your forms and reports you might need in the future.

 

To cancel your QBO subscription:

  1. Select Settings ⚙ and then Company Settings.
  2. Select the Billing and subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  4. Select Continue to cancel, then select Continue to cancel again (if applicable).
  5. Follow the next steps.
  6. Select Submit and cancel subscription.
  7. Select Got it.

The Settings section as described by JessT is the little cogwheel icon (⚙) you see the the top-right section of your QBO account. To successfully cancel your payroll, perform the steps below:

 

  1. Click the Settings icon at the top right section of your Dashboard.
  2. Tap Account and Settings.
  3. Under Billing & Subscription section find your payroll service.
  4. Then look for the option to Cancel or Cancel trial.
  5. Answer the short survey, before saving the changes.

If you we're billed for the subscription fee just recently, I recommend contacting our Support Team first to discuss your billing and refund options. To get in touch with us:

 

  1. Go to the (?) Help menu and choose Contact Us.
  2. Enter Account Management and Billing in the box then press Let's talk.
  3. Choose the contact option you want from the result.

Also, before you cancel your payroll subscription with us, make sure that you have done the following:

 

  • Printed necessary payroll forms and reports you might need in the future.
  • Paid any outstanding tax deposits and filed tax forms.
  • Make your own arrangements to retain the data after that time.

After the termination your data will be available in "Read Only mode" for a certain period of time. See this link to learn more: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription

 

To print reports:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu and select the report you want to print or export.
  2. Find the report you want to save a copy for, then click to open it.
  3. Make sure to select the correct dates before running it.
  4. When the data is correct, click the Print or Export icons.
