Please how can i change the primary admin

I'll outline a couple of handy details to help you change the primary admin in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, @m-abuasabeh-pian.

If you're the current primary admin, you can transfer the role to an existing QuickBooks user. Otherwise, you'll need to add them as a new user and proceed in assigning the position.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online as the current primary admin.
  2. Choose the Settings ⚙ menu and select Manage Users.
  3. Locate the user you want to change the position.
  4. In the Role column, make sure they are listed as Admin. If they’re not, click Edit to change their role to admin.
  5. Choose the small arrow ▼ in the Action section. Then, click Make primary admin.

  6. For security, we send a verification code to the phone number or email on file for your account. When you receive the verification code, record it and click Continue.
  7. Select Make primary admin again to confirm the change.
  8. Lastly, sign out to your QuickBooks account.

On the other hand, when the admin is no longer with the company, you can request to be the primary admin. This way, you can transfer the access rights to an existing user.

To do this, you'll need to submit the required documents to verify that you have rightful ownership of the account. After that, sign in to QBO and complete the form. For more details, please review this article: Request to be the primary contact. Then, our compliance team will review the request. Be on the lookout for an email from no_response@intuit.com for its status.

Once everything is settled, you can now manage users to grant access to your company. This way, they can help you perform certain tasks essential for your business.

I'm still up and running to answer other questions about handling your users in QuickBooks. I'd be here to extend a helping hand. Have a great weekend!
