Moving your data from your old QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to a new one is easy as 1 2 3, @JYu1.
You can export your list of reports from your old QBO account to Excel and transfer it to your new account. Here's how:
- Sign in to your old QBO account.
- Click Report from the left menu.
- Then, search for Account List, Customer Contact List, Vendor Contact List, or Product/Service List report.
- Customize the list report’s columns.
- After customizing the report, export it to Excel.
- Open the exported report in Excel, then delete rows 1-4 to remove your company name and report title from the sheet.
- Save your report again as Excel or CSV.

On the other hand, If your old QBO data is less than 60 days, you have the option to purge your account. This deletes all data entered into the company, and you're unable to restore them. Let me guide you how.
- Log in to your old QBO account.
- Change the URL to include /purgecompany.
- Example: URL shows https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage, change to: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany.
- The next screen will provide a summary of the items to be deleted.
- Type the word “YES” once the data gets deleted, then click OK.
- Click Wipe Data once your selections are complete.
- Once the deletion is complete, you will be rerouted to your home page.
However, if it's more than 60 days old, you'll need to cancel the subscription for your old QBO account.
