Why does Emirates NBD connection stays down for over 3 weeks every month ? Is this something that Quickbooks just can't figure out ?

Good day, @usman-khalid.

Did you get any error messages when connecting your Emirates NBD bank to QuickBooks? If so, you can share it with me so I can provide you the appropriate steps to address the issue.

Additionally, here are some of the possible reasons you're having trouble connecting your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO):

  • The bank is performing system maintenance.
  • There are notifications from their website that need your attention.

To verify the issue, I'd first suggest logging into your bank's website. Then, check if there are alerts that need your attention. Once signed in, perform the following steps:

  1. Review your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  2. Check your bank’s website for any announcements.
  3. Once done, go back to your QBO account to perform a manual update.

You can also perform a manual update to refresh the connection between your bank and QBO. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select Update
  3. Enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.
  4. Click Continue update.

Once your transactions are successfully downloaded, you can now approve the way the program categorizes the transactions. Then, match them against the entries in the system. To learn more about this process, visit this article: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QBO.

Keep me posted if you have any other questions with regards to connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online. I'll make sure to get back to you as soon as I can. Have a great day ahead.
