Custom fields

We are trying to fetch Quickbooks Custom fields via QBO Preferences API.

Though the fields are active in QB UI and selected on Sales forms, we are not getting any of them from API response.

We updated the fields, created new fields with different type and made the original fields active again. This resolved the issue.

This happened with multiple QB franchises we have, not sure if it's a bug from QB. Could anyone please let me know if you faced a similar issue & know why this might be happening? Thanks.

Hello, fsdfsdfsdfsa.

I appreciate your time in reaching out to the QuickBooks Community space, and good work on resolving the issue. I'd like to point you to the right direction so you can find out what's causing the API problem and prevent it from happening in the future.

We have a dedicated support forums for developers where they share ideas and answers regarding the API and developer-related tools.

The support agents or fellow developers will be able to take look at the issue and find out what prevented the API from working properly (before you resolved the issue).

We can post the issue and the details here: QuickBooks Online API Developers forums (click the Ask a Question button).

Need to familiarize yourself with the accounting workflows and ensure you'll be able to create the fields properly? Check out this document for tips and guides: Accounting workflows.

If you have questions about QuickBooks Online and its feature, let me know and I'll gladly share some details with you. Hoping to see you again soon.
