Hi, when I make a report, the comma(thousand seperator) doesn't show in the foreign debit and foreign credit number on the report. My home currency is KRW.

 Hi there, hong-sy.

There's a feature in QuickBooks online about changing a number format to show the proper comma thousand.

However, this will not affect the foreign debit and foreign credit number on the report. What you see is the default format and there isn't an option to change it.

Please check this article on how you can set up your company file under Advanced account settings:  How do I set my advanced account settings?.

Please check this article to see steps on how to customize your report to focus on the details that you want to view: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.

Leave a comment below if you have any other questions, I’m more than happy to help. Take care!

Hi Team,

The number format is already set as you said.  The comma appears correctly in Debit and Credit for home currency, but it doesn't show in the foreign debt and credit column only.

Thank you for the response, @hong-sy.

If you've already set the number format from the Account and Settings and still having an error in running the report, I suggest clearing your browser's cache.

There are times that the browser you're using has information stored that's stopping or causing the error with your report.

Go to your account and run the report by using a private browser or an incognito window. If it works fine, clear the cache in the one that you're currently using.

Here’s how to go incognito or use a private browser:

  • For Chrome, press Ctrl+Shift+N.
  • For Internet Explorer or Firefox, press Ctrl+Shift+P.
  • For Safari, hold down Command+Shift+N.

Here's the clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online article for detailed instructions.

You can also use other browsers like Chrome, Safari, Edge and the like if the steps above didn’t work.

Stay in touch if you need further assistance with your reports. I’m always glad to help in any way I can.

Thank you for the answer.

I did, but it didn't work. Please find attached the report for Transaction List by Date.

Thanks for the additional details, hong-sy.

Currently, we don't have an option to affect the comma separator for the Foreign Debit and Foreign Credit columns. As a workaround, you can export the report to Excel. From there, you can set the comma separator to apply also to the affected columns:

  1. Open the Transaction List by Date report and customize it according to your needs.
  2. Click the Export option and select Export to Excel.
  3. Save the file.
  4. Open and customize the data in Excel.

We appreciate your feedback about the report. We'll take this opportunity to improve QuickBooks Online to suit your business needs.

We'll be right here if you need anything else or if you have another suggestions. Have a great day!
