Unable to download reports in excel format

Let's resolve the error you're having to export your report to Excel, @bibinrk76.

The piled-up cache in your regular browser may cause this unusual behavior when trying to export your report into an Excel format. You can clear your current browser’s cache to resolve this. 

Go to your account by using a private browser or an incognito window, then try to download this report. If it works fine, clear the cache in the one that you're currently using.

Here are the following keyboard shortcuts: 

• Safari: Command + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
• Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N 
• Microsoft Edge:  CTRL + Shift + P

If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Restart your browser right after. 

You can also try to download your report using other supported browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge) if the steps above didn’t work.

I am having the same issue, even after clear cache and cookies. I have tried Edge and Chrome, but the download seems to get hung up and not complete. If I attempt to access afterwards through the download file folder, my whole system freezes up.

all other downloads work fine from other programs.  Only QBO seems to have the issue.

Since clearing your browser cache doesn't work, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further investigate this matter and provide additional troubleshooting steps to get this fix. They can also create an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same. To reach them, please follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Click the Help button.
3. In the QuickBooks Assistance chatbox, select Talk to a human and choose I still need a human.
4. Select Contact Us.
