GST tax

Hello,

 

On invoices- why does Quickbooks randomly change the GST tax rate from 5% to something like 5.0009% or 5.0145%, for example?

Let me help you go over your invoices and ensure the GST tax rates are accurate, dwest501.

 

At times, the collected cache files on your browser may lead to unexpected behavior like the one that you've experienced with the GST tax rates on your invoices.

 

To get this issue sorted out, as an initial step, you can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. If you're still getting the same result, I recommend accessing your account in a private window. Here's how:

 

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

 

Once signed in, let's go back to your invoices and check the tax rates from there. If it rectifies the issue, go back to your main portal and clear its cache to remove the browser's history or you can press CTRL+Shift and Delete key on your keyboard altogether. You may also try accessing your account using another supported browser.

 

However, if the issue persists, I'd suggest deleting and recreating the invoice transactions. Additionally, we can read through this link: QuickBooks Online Help Articles. We can find more GST tax rates as well as handling company income articles which may come in handy.
