Please make Assistant accessible for visually impaired.

JSSE

Currently 'Assistant' (customer help) is not available when using computer - there is a message saying to access it by mobile.

However this is not user friendly for older users or users with visual impairment.

Please make the assistant accessible and available for all users to use on computers as well as on mobile phones.

Thank you for this suggestion, we are changing the status of this to Closed due to the low number of up votes.

Hello JSSE, yes it is correct no changes will be made, you shouldn't be getting that message to come up anymore, however, because you are there is an investigation on this for tracking which we have added you onto. i have raised this up to the higher team to get the message removed/change it as i do agree it is confusing for customers.

Hello Ashleigh 1,

Thanks - though the message is still there in the software misleading your users. See attached screenshot.Screenshot 2024-01-05 at 12.59.24.png

Hello Ashleigh 1,

The message about the Assistant: " We're working on this experience and will get it fixed as soon as we can" message is still there in the software.

You have told me that this message is not true and that QB has no intention of fixing it.

Why is the message still there misleading your customers?

My request and suggestion is to fix the option of the Assistant within the software. For older customers and those with visual impairments, having the Assistant on the computer is more accessible than in a phone app.

Hello JSSE, we have reported to the higher team about the message and that it is confusing for customers and have asked them to either, remove it or change it.  We appreciate your feedback on this and we have passed this on.

Thanks Ashleigh 1,

I think the best solution would be to fix the Assistant - make it more accessible and user friendly for all users.

Hi GeorgiaC,

Over a month waiting for a response - 2 weeks since the last request for clarity from you. Still no response to the question above:
If what you say is correct - "no changes will be made", why dos the software itself say "We're currently working on this experience and will get it fixed as soon as we can."?

Nothing appears to be happening / changing / improving with this for some months now - and you have just stopped responding to the thread - can you please give a clear and honest answer.

Hi JSSE, we're requested for the in-product message to be updated.

For clarification, the digital assistant is no longer available via web for QBSE, but remains available in the mobile experience. When you click on the 'Assistant' option in the web version QBSE, you will be prompted to navigate to the mobile app, using a QR code to access the Digital Assistant.

Hello GeorgiaC,

I am fully aware that the assistant is not working - that is the reason for this entire thread. Please look at the thread title and previous posts here.

And yet for months the message says "We're currently working on this experience and will get it fixed as soon as we can."?  with no change or improvement.

Is it not in QuickBooks interest to make this platform more accessible and user friendly to all users by having this also available in the web version? If not, please explain why not.

Hello JSSE, we appreciate what you are saying and will pass this on however this option has been removed going forward, and again like we have said we have passed on for that message to be updated by the higher team. It is working as expected, we have a number of contact options available including, phone, chat, and social media (which can all be accessed on a browser) if the in-app experience is not suitable for you.

Thanks - but this doesn't answer the question.

Why doesn't QuickBooks make this platform more accessible and user friendly to all users by having this also available in the web version?

It was clearly there at some point - why remove it?
