View reverts to default when returning from viewing a transaction

Lawrence Newman

Hi Guys

Very frustrating that when you are in a transaction list and set to viewing 300 or have a particular sort, when you view a transaction then go back to the list if reverts to the original settings so you have to sort and select quantity to view again each time!

You also cant right click and open the transaction on a new tab and really when you click a transaction it should open in a new tab leaving the list in your customised view.

I completely understand how frustrating and time-consuming it can be when you face challenges tracking your transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to sort things out for you.

Efficiently using QuickBooks is crucial to smoothly operate your business. However, you may encounter unexpected behavior in the program which may stem from browser-related problems. The best way to tackle such issues is to perform some basic troubleshooting steps. To start, sign in through a private window, then view and set your transaction list again. To save time, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

If it works fine, you can return to your default browser and clear its cache to start afresh. You can also use another supported and up-to-date browser. The one you're using now may have a temporary issue with QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you're unable to right-click and open the transaction on a new tab. However, you can achieve the same result by opening two QuickBooks tabs and copying and pasting the link of your previous QuickBooks to the new tab. This will allow you to open the transaction in a new tab while still keeping the list in your customized view.

@JackSbtw these bot copy and paste replies to suggestion are annoying in here. Unless they are to address a suggestion that already in QBO offeing 'support' suggestions should be the damain of the main community pages. This is an issue and nothing to do with that copy and pasted reply.
