You can easily uncheck the Tax box in the transaction to remove the sales tax from donations. I'd be glad to walk you through the steps.
To get started, you'll need to find and edit the transactions. Here's how:
Click the Magnifying Glass icon.
Select Advanced Search.
In the Search drop-down, choose the transaction.
Look for the transaction, then click to open.
In the Tax column, uncheck the box to remove the sales tax.
Click Save and close.
I've added a screenshot below for your visual reference.
Moving forward, you can turn off the sales tax option so your transactions won't automatically add a sales tax every time you'll create one. To do that, please follow the steps below:
From the left menu, click Taxes.
Select Sales Tax.
Click the Sales tax settings link.
Select the Turn off sales tax button.
