QuickBooks Online Display   QuickBooks Online Display

There are two ways to display your account in QuickBooks Online: business view and accountant view. Your default view is based on what you told us when you first set up QuickBooks. The content and images in this guide are for the accountant view. If you're working in business view, you'll see differences in the left navigation menu but the workflows are the same.

Switch between Business View and Accountant View in QuickBooks Online

To record a transaction in QuickBooks Desktop, you select an icon on the Home Page or open the window from a menu. For example, when you invoice a customer, select Create Invoices on the Home Page or select Create Invoices from Customers

To record a transaction in QuickBooks Online, choose the transaction type from the home screen or select +New.

QuickBooks Online organizes transactions the same way as QuickBooks Desktop. Everything you enter is related to a customer, vendor, employee, or other.
