Making Technology a part of our business

Lucas Seah April 11, 2016

The internet is the world now, and it’s everywhere. Embracing cloud technology has enabled us to make the most of the internet, with plenty of benefits that come along with it.

No worries about losing data

Over the years, I’ve worked with many SMEs that have undergone a system crash. When that happens, they lose all their data in an instant, with no way to retrieve it. With the cloud, there’s no longer such a worry – data is stored on the cloud servers and QuickBooks Online ensures the stability of the system.

Able to work from anywhere

With my data in the cloud, I no longer have to worry about having specific machines or gadgets to get the work done. With just an iPad or notebook, I’m able to load the processes I need. This means I can work and showcase files to clients anytime, no matter where I am – I’m no longer forced to spend all my time in offices.

Simple to use

The interface of QuickBooks Online is clean and simple. Even clients who have never done accounting before, are able to navigate the site without many doubts. This means we save time and money on training (both clients and our own staff). To make things even easier, we were even provided training and marketing materials at a recent QuickBooks ProAdvisor seminar that we can readily share with our potential clients.

Less mistakes from human error

Accounting used to involve a lot of manual work – having to log numerous process files for each client. Now, technology has automated these processes. This means that I no longer have to worry about mistakes made by human error. Not only that, it means we have more free time, which we can now use for more specialized tasks and consultancy.

The world is moving really quickly, and technology is becoming a big part of our lives. If you don’t want your business to become obsolete, you’ll have to move along with the trend as well.
