Today we are pleased to announce some exciting developments to our QuickBooks Online Accountant product. We pride ourselves on working closely with our customers to ensure that the evolution of our products reflects the changing demands placed upon them, and know that accountancy professionals are under increasing pressure to develop the services they’re delivering and the tools they are using. The updates we’re implementing today have been developed following feedback from our global customer base who are looking for ways to increase efficiency, save time and improve collaboration between their colleagues and clients.
Existing QuickBooks Online Accountant customers will have the option to ‘Try it now’ with the button located at the top of their QuickBooks Accountant screen.
This is the first in a series of updates that will come this year which will enable accountancy professionals to make better use of cloud-based platforms.
The key changes visible from today include:
– New Client List – visible from the home screen, accountants can check out notes assigned against each client by clicking on their company/client name, emails can be sent directly from this page and tasks can be carried out.
– Notes and Tasks – accountants within the same firm can now collaborate together seamlessly, to ensure their tasks and notes are assigned against the relevant client and the correct accountant owner is assigned to complete the task by a set date. Users can create and share tasks quickly, securely and seamlessly with all colleagues.
– Unlimited users – Add in as many Accountant users to your firm. Once added, they can work on the books of your clients and carry out their accounting/bookkeeping tasks. You can also send them notes and assign tasks with due dates so they can manage their day to day work within QuickBooks Online Accountant. All invitees will get their own unique QuickBooks Online Accountant login, so you can manage your own firm’s workflow effectively by collaborating with other accountants/employees in your firm.
