Partner of the Month – Transfermate

2 min read

Hello, and welcome to QuickBooks’ partner of the month, where we highlight some of our key partners who are behind some of the add-on tools that enhance our product.

This month, it’s the turn of Transfermate, and we spoke to co-founder and Managing Director Barry Dowling to give us a more in-depth into who they are and what they do.

What is Transfermate?

TransferMate has partnered with Intuit to provide a free international payments add on for any business using QuickBooks worldwide.

UK businesses are sick of paying high international bank fees to the banks, getting poor exchange rates and waiting up to four days for payments to reach suppliers. Our app allows clients to click a button and book their payments in seconds and is cheaper and faster than using the bank.

What does your app do / what problem does it solve?
Today UK businesses have to enter each payment one by one into the bank and then double entry details of each payment back into QuickBooks.

Asides from being error prone, it is very time consuming. Our app does all that work for them by booking payments and posting those payments back into QuickBooks instantly. You could literally pay 100 suppliers in 5 seconds. Coupled with that, better exchange rates, lower fees andfaster payments saves clients time and money.

Why the integration with QuickBooks?
QuickBooks is fast becoming the software of choice for business across the UK. You can access your accounts from anywhere. For us, we want to be creating customised add-ons for solutions that we strongly believe are market leaders and QuickBooks online is a real winner.

Where are you based?
TransferMate offer a 24 hour phone solution to clients as QuickBooks clients are based all over the world. We have offices in the UK, Ireland, France, Australia, USA and Canada.

How many employees do you have?

What’s the culture of the company like?
The best sign of a strong business is whether your early employees are still with you. All of our original team are with us and now provide guidance to our ever growing team. We all have a can do attitude and everyone knows that what we are providing is a really great service.

Tell us one interesting thing about your organisation / fun fact?
We have transferred over $USD5billion on behalf of our clients. We recently won the Eirspider Best Financial Service award and we love beating the banks!
