Not sure what QB Desktop Version you can purchase for $190. Sounds like it may be used and previously licensed to someone else. I would stay away from that. A current Version of QB can be purchased at many Canadian Retailers like Staples, Best Buy and Costco. Be sure to do your homework: decide on the features you need. A client just purchased QB Pro 2018 with payroll at Costco for $699.00 plus tax. Once you buy and install on your computer, your product must be registered with Intuit.If your product includes Payroll, an annual fee will have to be paid to keep your payroll tax table current. If you will not be using Payroll, you will pay nothing more. You should note that your product will NEVER be updated from its original version.

That being said, it is possible to purchase Quickbooks directly from Intuit and pay the entire cost at the time of purchase.

No but I am not Canadian. I don't care where you buy, Simpson's, Canadian Tire, Sams Club sealed retail package for a download is all we are talking and downloading a Canadian version. Why would it not eork

Can't say with absolute certainty that it won't work, but l the huge price discrepancy sets off alarms. Why would Canadian retailers sell a product for $699 when the same product is available for $190? If it looks too good to be true, it almost always is.

Certainly Amazon is not that far out of line,$20 cheaper, especially when they are a bonafide approved and vetted retailer @impossible seems to have an issue with the giant retailer that delivers "from A to Zed"
