I'd like to start off by doing some troubleshooting to determine if this isn't a browser related issue. When was the last time you cleared cache and cookies on your browser? Doing this will help fix most issues the site may be having. Here's an article which shows you how to do that: How to clear Cache and Cookies. This has always been a ongoing issue. I always have to walk through my accounts to make sure my accounts are balanced and ignore the reconcile function. In my some of my long term liability accounts it doubles the numbers continuously. Two checking accounts I am constantly doing journal entries to correct balances every time I reconcile although the entries at my bank and in my spreadsheets match perfectly with the balances. Reconciling has caused me more nightmares and long hours than it has helped.
Thanks for taking the time to share some of what's been going on in your QuickBooks account. Our goal with QuickBooks is to facilitate an easier workflow, and the problems you've described having with your reconciliations shows that it's currently missing that mark.
