I already set up and verified my receipt forwarding email via quickbook online, but still get this error :
You recently tried to forward a receipt to [email address removed]. We couldn’t process the receipt because the email address it was forwarded from is not set up for receipt forwarding
Receipt Forwarding is another one of the helpful ways QuickBooks Self-Employed can save you time. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction here.
I recommend reviewing the two workflows that are a part of Receipt Forwarding: Email verification, and the actual receipt forwarding process. Here's the steps: Receipt forwarding feature Overview.
It sounds like you've set up your email for verification. Make sure that each verification step is followed as outlined in the article above, such as entering the verification code. Once verified, instructions appear on the Receipt Forwarding screen. This includes details on how to forward receipts to us. We also allow users to opt out to email notifications when QuickBooks Self-Employed receives forwarded receipts. We will always notify users if there is an issue.
If you're still having issues after walking through the steps in the article above, I recommend reaching out to QuickBooks Self-Employed support directly here: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_CA/contact. These agents are experts in the Self-Employed version of QuickBooks, and I'm confident they'll be able to get you back on track in no time.
My email is verified and i am sending from the email associated with my QBSE account, but I am still receiving the error message
|You recently tried to forward a receipt to [email address removed]. We couldn’t process the receipt because the email address it was forwarded from is not set up for receipt forwarding.
I changed my email address about 30 minutes ago, so does it take time to change officially?
The receipt forwarding feature is definitely a handy tool and I want to make sure you're able to get it set up. Since you're still having troubles, I recommend getting in touch with the QuickBooks Self-Employed team via the method my teammate AddieB gave above. They'll have all the tools necessary to help you figure out what's going on and get you back on track.
I hope that helps!
