I have an article in chart of accounts - "Advertising".  Every month I bring expenses by vendors.
In which report can I see a comparison of costs for vendors by month?

Hi there, 

 

I know how important it is to be able to see a clear and concise compilation of your important business data. Seeing the total cost to each of your suppliers by month will help you get a snapshot of your expenses, and where your funds are going. I'd be happy to help you find the best report for this in QuickBooks Online.

 

I'd recommend running the Expenses by Supplier Summary report. This report will show your total expenses for each supplier. To find the report, click Reports on the left navigation menu, then search for it in the search bar. 

 

You can filter this report to display monthly totals by adjusting the reporting period at the top left-hand side of the page. Select This Month, Last Month, or a custom date-range.

Thanks a lot, Addie!!

But your advice is good if I know all vendors of one expense item. 

 

When list consist of a lot of vendors I'd like prefer choose expense item and to see report with right vendors. May be you know how I can do it?

I see what you mean. In that case, you can look at the Transaction List by Supplier report. This report has a column for Memo/Description, where you can specify your expense type at the time you create the transaction. Then, you'll click Customize on your report, and select the Filter drop-down menu to filter by Memo.
