How do i change where a customers invoice is put say i put it in construction costs and it should be in construction income ???
I know how important to make sure your invoices are hitting the right income account. QuickBooks Online makes it simple for you to assign a default account for certain products or services so that you can control which income account it hits.
If you'd like your invoice to be put in a specific "construction-related" income account, you'll have to assign this particular account as the default for your products or services.
To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Sales on the left navigation menu.
2. Select Products and Services.
3. Select Edit next to your product/service from the list.
4. Select an Income account.
5. Click Save.
This will ensure that all income for this particular product will be put in this account.
