Adding new customers is simple in QuickBooks Online. With just a few quick clicks, your customer information will be stored in your account for future transactions.
I know how important it is to be able to add additional information and notes on your customer profiles. If you'd like to enter additional information for a new customer, follow these steps:
1. Click the Sales tab on the left menu.
2. Select Customers.
3. Click New Customer.
4. Enter their name and other important details.
5. Toggle over to the sub-header that says Notes.
6. Enter any additional information needed.
7. Click Save.
You can also add attachments, payment and billing information, tax information, and language preferences.
The process works the same when adding additional information to existing customers, but instead of clicking New Customer, you'd simply select your customer from the list, then click Customer Details.

Is there a way to add multiple customized Notes fields to customers that I can import from the original excel spreadsheet (already imported name, email, address, etc.). I would like to include customer information such as membership level, qualification expiry date, licence status, etc. I would then like to be able to sort the customers since different services apply based on these criteria. If the data can be imported from the Excel spreadsheet with all the other info, it should be instantaneous. Otherwise importing or copy/pasting will be prohibitive.

You're able to add any additional information into QuickBooks Online using the Notes section as I explained above. At this time, there's no way to add multiple customized notes fields to your customer information section within the program. I recommend using the provided Notes field, or continuing to use your Excel spreadsheet.
I think having more capabilities in the customer details section would make the program even better. I'd be happy to submit your feedback about this to my team for review.
