Quickbooks will not reinstall.

I am having the same problem with Quickbooks 2019. As of last night, it opens to the splash screens, then immediately closes. I am using Windows 11 home on a new computer that I transferred the program to a couple of months ago. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and tried all of the Tool Hub fixes to no avail.

I was able to take the file from my new computer to the old one and the file opens right up. The old computer is about ready to die so I need Quickbooks to work on my new computer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have tried everything that I searched online for, but nothing helps. HELP!!!!!

Quickbooks will not reinstall.

Hi there, geneski14 and IFA62034.

There are lots of possibilities as to why QuickBooks won't open. One of them is that you may have selected your QuickBooks Desktop icon multiple times, Allow QuickBooks enough time to load before you continue.

You can run some troubleshooting steps to isolate what cause this issue. To start with, download and install the QuickBooks Tools Hub. From their, run the Quick Fix my program.

I've added this reference for the detailed steps of the process: Quick Fix my Program.

Keep me posted as to how the troubleshooting works on your end. Have a good one!

Quickbooks will not reinstall.

I only click the icon one time. It opens the circle splash, then opens the desktop with the splash and then immediately closes. I have tried all of the tool hub fixes. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled with a fresh install and it still does the same thing. I called tech support and they logged on to my computer and saw what it was doing and had no clue but told me that 2019 is not compatible with Windows 11 and I would have to update.

Quickbooks will not reinstall.

This will probably work with Quickbooks installed, but as my message said it will not install. I get error message that Quickbooks stopped working and will close.

Let's get this working for you, geneski14.

Installing the QuickBooks Tools Hub is a good start when it comes to fixing program-related issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

Step 1: Download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub:

  1. We recommend you download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop). Note: If you've already installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab.  The version will be displayed on the bottom right or you can select About to view the version.
  2. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

If you can't find the icon, do a search in Windows for QuickBooks Tool Hub and select the program.

For detailed troubleshooting steps, see this article (proceed to Step 2): Solutions for when QuickBooks has stopped working. After that, you can visit this link to reinstall the program:

Install QuickBooks Desktop.

Should you need more help with reinstalling and opening the program, please let me know. I'd be more than willing to lend you a hand. Have a great rest of your day!

@geneski14

Consider downgrading your OS to Win 10 for now and upgrading when QB supports it natively. We still don't recommend our clients to upgrade to Win 11 if their machine needs to run QBD.
