QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0 Software, including Payments and Connected Services, will be discontinued 10/3/2023.
QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale was introduced over 20 years ago to help retailers better manage their stores and we're proud to have supported you. The Point of Sale platform on which the software is built is unique, requires complex maintenance, and makes introducing new features challenging. Consequently, we’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0 as of October 3, 2023.
There will be no future versions of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale software. We have worked with Shopify to provide a POS solution option for your business.
In addition to the QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale software being discontinued, the following connected services will also be disabled on October 3, 20231:
- QuickBooks Point of Sale Payments
- QuickBooks Point of Sale Gift Card Service
- Mobile Sync
- Intuit Store Exchange
- Webgility E-commerce integration
- Support Plans including Live Support (phone, email, chat)
- Vendor Lookup Service
You can continue to use QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0 without these services after October 3, 2023, but we will no longer provide important security patches to help protect your information from cyber-attacks and data theft.
There are several Point of Sale solutions available in the marketplace. You can explore other solutions to determine what works best for your business.
