The advent of the internet and mobile technology has changed the way we shop. But how has it changed for those in brick and mortar retail stores? Established by Amit Bhatia and Vikas Puri, Bookyourstock attempts “to create solutions for Mom and Pop stores in apparel and fashion space. We provide the best curated products for their shop and other soft tools to increase their sales productivity.”
What are their goals?
The founders have extensive, diverse experience from manufacturing to retail. Therefore, their goal is to build reactive and reliable supply chain for our customers. They also enhance their customer experience at the stores. Putting product quality and design at the forefront, Bookyourstock has been able to build success by selecting key categories. Focusing on just one geographical location of customers has been a bonus.
Bookyourstock was able to find solutions to two key challenges. Namely, open credit demands by customers and how to convey the touch and feel of product, before purchase. Amit says “We had followed the process of “sample on demand” from beginning to enable customer make the right choice and feel confident working with us. Additionally, with respect to payments, we offered multiple payment options to choose from and incentivised cash payments.”
How perseverance and adaptability have defined success
They credit perseverance, adaptability, and team ownership for the success. Whatsapp has been an important marketing and communication tool. Amit says “We service our retailers with unlimited choice of fast selling products at a great pricing to unleash their sales potential. Our strong network of quality manufacturers allows us to offer complete assortment of apparel and lifestyle products to run a family store.”
Bookyourstock connects brands with retailers and enables them to source, sell and save with just one click. Building long term collaborations with clients and brands, Bookyourstock hopes to become the go-to fashion marketplace in the years to come.
