And that’s where Book Dunia helps – the website brings together the offered price of all the stores in one place thereby helping the book lover save time and money. At a very nascent stage, just about 6 months old, Book Dunia is already witnessing a steady growth in the daily visitor count, thereby making it really exciting and motivating for the founders.
We spoke to them about their plans and about what lies ahead. Read on – Have you reached break-even? What has been the key to your business’s success? The key to our little found success is the simplicity and quickness with which we serve our customers. Our customers find the simple user interface of our site quite appealing. They simply search their favourite book, compare its price and buy it from the cheapest store. As an add-on feature we integrate book reviews from goodreads so that our customer may checkout what other readers say about the book. What are the major challenges in your line of business and how did/do you overcome them? Our nation’s diversity!!! It is apparent in the kind of books people read. There was a lot of research involved in bringing together books from all regions and languages into one platform. Do you have a mentor who guides/advices you on matters of the business? All three of us come from an engineering background. So we have a long way to go on the business aspects involved. The only thing we really focus on is to provide good service other thing would definitely follow with that. What strategy do you follow for Customer Satisfaction & Expansion? The key strategy to our customer satisfaction is to provide simple and quick interface to compare book price across the online Indian book stores. What, according to you, are the top 3 skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
