Three friends from the same engineering college discovered that they wanted to work together to bring about a simple and useful website for book lovers. Thus was born Book Dunia.

The trio saw an opportunity with the rise of online shopping in India. They rightly point out that a “lot of digital money gets exchanged between the online retailers and the shoppers. While many products like mobiles have plenty of price comparison tools but the complete online book price comparison solutions had been so far, left out. Different stores offer different prices and shoppers need to be smart to get the best price for a book.” The friends figured that checking out all the stores for their offered prices and making a comparison would be irritating and a cumbersome task. And that’s where Book Dunia helps – the website brings together the offered price of all the stores in one place thereby helping the book lover save time and money. At a very nascent stage, just about 6 months old, Book Dunia is already witnessing a steady growth in the daily visitor count, thereby making it really exciting and motivating for the founders.
