Add project quote summaries to a progress invoice in QuickBooks Online
by Intuit• Updated 1 month ago
Learn how to add quotes to your progressive invoices in QuickBooks Online.
If you bill projects in installments using progress invoicing, you can include a quote summary on their invoices. This keeps your customers in the loop and lets them know how much they owe.
Note: This option isn't available yet for the new quote and invoice layout. |
Prerequisites
Before you can add project quote summaries to a progress invoice, turn on progress invoices and quote summaries. You’ll also need at least one project quote approved by a customer.
Add quote summaries to invoices
Once a quote is approved by a customer, you can add it to an invoice for the customer to view.
- Go to + New and select Invoice.
- From the Add Customer dropdown, select the customer you created a quote for.
- From the Suggested transactions section, find the quote you want to include. Select Add.
- Select âš™ Manage, then select Design. Select the template you use for progress invoicing.
- Select Save and close. If you want to send the invoice now, select Review and send.
