When you reconcile an account, you compare each transaction on your bank statement with transactions entered into QuickBooks Online. If everything matches, you know your accounts are balanced and accurate.
This page will run you through the safest way to unreconcile a transaction (remove an incorrect transaction from the broader reconciliation). |
Before you start
It’s important to note that you can only unreconcile one transaction at a time. If you need to completely start over, reach out to your accountant, as they are the only ones who can undo entire reconciliations.

What's next?
Your accounts should now be balanced and accurate. If you made an adjustment to a past reconciliation or still have problems with your reconciliation, reach out to your accountant. This can get tricky and they know how to handle the next steps. Don't have an accountant? We can help you find one.
