I'm getting an efile error 2097; the client has nothing to claim on ON479 but is entitled to the senior's credit for property taxes paid entered on ON-BEN.
I've tried clearing ON479 form but this also clears my ON-Ben.
There is 0 on line 23 on the ON479 schedule which is fine and the ON-BEN flows ok with property tax at line 61120 & boxes 61020 & 61070 ticked.
I've done an update to Profile, cleared the form & re-entered the property tax & refiled but still get the same error. I've already filed the spouse's return without the ON-BEN so I can't switch the credit without re-filing...
Is this a software glitch?

I had the same problem on Sunday March 5.
I tried everything to make it go away
Then I did a google search and found a message saying this is a bug at the CRA and they expected it to be fixed by Monday March 6
I have not yet tried efiling my client, but if you try your own it should now efile successfully

Hi,
Thanks Larry, this is not an error derived from ProFile, so there are no fixes you can make in ProFile
