HI,
when I efiled T1 return of new immigration for the first filing, filled in a date of entry into Canada, Schedule A statement of world income and I prorate the basic personal amount based on entry date, efile wasn't accepted.
How to efile the new immigration by profile?
please see attached system information:
2040 : Line 30000 for the basic personal amount does not equal to the maximum amount allowable and one of the following situations
applies to your client's return:
1. If the amount is prorated due to immigrant status, a date of entry into Canada is required.
2. If the amount is prorated due to emigrant status, the return is not eligible for EFILE. Submit a paper return instead.
T1 return was not accepted. Please correct the above error and re-transmit.
