Learn how to access your QuickBooks Workforce account.

Facing problems while trying to sign in to your account can be frustrating. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you learn about QuickBooks Workforce, resolve common sign in issues, and regain access to your account.

About QuickBooks Workforce

QuickBooks Workforce is part of the QuickBooks software your employer uses for payroll ‌and time tracking. QuickBooks Workforce is provided by Intuit, maker of other products you may have used like TurboTax or Credit Karma. With QuickBooks Workforce, you can view and print your pay stubs, check your time-off balances, see your year-to-date pay, and more. If your employer uses QuickBooks Time, you can also track your time (mobile app only).

Here's some important info about QuickBooks Workforce.

  • You need to set up a user ID and password for an Intuit Account. You can also sign in if you already had one from using other Intuit products.
  • Your employer will email or text you an invitation. Accept the invite and follow the steps to set up your account. If you don’t have an invitation from your employer, contact them to get one.
  • Once you’ve completed the invitation process, you’ll use your Intuit Account to sign in going forward.
  • Access QuickBooks Workforce from the web at workforce.intuit.com or through the QuickBooks Workforce mobile app.

Accept the invitation from your employer and sign in for the first time

To use QuickBooks Workforce, you'll need an invitation from your employer.

You’ll need to create a new account, or use an email that is already linked to an Intuit Account. This could be an old QuickBooks Workforce or TurboTax account.

  1. Look for an email from do_not_reply@intuit.com with your employer's name in the subject line. If you don’t see the invite, check your spam folder, or let your employer know about it. It’s possible they used an incorrect email‌ address.
  2. Open the email, then select Accept Invite to accept the invitation.

Note: Your invite is valid for up to 30 days from when it was sent. If it’s been longer than 30 days, have your employer send you a new invite.

After you have accepted the invite, go to workforce.intuit.com or the QuickBooks Workforce mobile app to finish setup of your account for payroll and/or time tracking.

In some cases, your employer may provide you with a QR code to access Workforce. This can only be used to sign up in the WF mobile app. Download the app, choose "I'm new here", and read the QR code."
