Learn about Intuit Intelligence.

Intuit Intelligence combines artificial intelligence (AI) and business intelligence (BI) to give answers and automate financial tasks in QuickBooks. We use your company data to give custom insights and help with your business goals without manual entry.

Note: At this time, this is available for QuickBooks Online and Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS) only.

How Intuit Intelligence works

QuickBooks has built-in AI capabilities, unlike other AI tools. We connect your accounting and payments data to provide an overview of your business.

• AI learns your workflow, answers specific questions, and performs multi-step tasks.
• BI connects data points across your business to show patterns, trends, and future forecasts.

Because we use your real-time company data, you don't need to add files or write complex prompts to get personalized help.

Manage Intuit Intelligence chats

Each eligible QuickBooks plan includes 25 Intuit Intelligence chat prompts per month.

Once used up, it stops, then it resets when the next billing cycle starts.

Purchase additional prompts

You can purchase the Intuit Intelligence chat add-on for $10/month.

The add-on gives you access to an additional 100 prompts per month. It does not provide unlimited prompts, and there are currently no plans that offer unlimited prompts.

• QuickBooks: Select Add more prompts when the message appears after you reach your limit.
• Online purchase page: Visit the Intuit Intelligence chat Add-on page.

These are available immediately and renew monthly with your subscription.

Cancel your prompt subscription

1. Go to Settings and select Subscriptions and billing.
2. Select Cancel, then follow the steps.

Note: It remains active until the end of your current billing cycle.

• Conversational report builder: Ask Intuit Intelligence to build or customize reports with specific filters and date ranges without navigating complex menus.
• Root cause analysis: Ask "why" your financial metrics changed and get a detailed breakdown of the specific customers, suppliers, or products driving the anomaly.
• AI-generated report summaries (QuickBooks Online Advanced only): Automatically generate written executive summaries for your Management Reports to explain the financial data to your stakeholders.
• Accounting policy templates (Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS) Accelerate only): Establish custom, firm-wide rules that guide exactly how Intuit Intelligence categorizes and handles transactions for specific clients or industries.
• Skills Hub: Build your own AI-powered automations by describing a task in your plain language, or start from a template. Track everything that's running, paused, or needs attention from one place.

Manage the companion view

Important: At this time, this is only available to primary and company admins.

• Select the Intuit Intelligence icon to open the assistant.
• Select the close icon on the assistant pane to close. It remains closed for the rest of your session.
• To stop Intuit Intelligence from opening automatically, enter one of the following prompts:
  • "Stop showing me this."
  • "Stop opening this pane automatically."
  • "Disable Intuit Intelligence."
  • "Turn off the AI assistant."

View your chat history

In the Intuit Intelligence pane, select the full screen icon to see your chat history. Find your past chats under the Recent tab.

Provide feedback

Select the thumbs up or thumbs down icons to tell us how Intuit Intelligence did. This helps it learn and get better.
