Import client lists from ProFile to QuickBooks Online Accountant

You can import a client list into QuickBooks Online Accountant from ProFile by way of Excel. Client lists will first need to be exported to Excel from ProFile's Client Explorer or Classic Database. Import a client list into QuickBooks Online Accountant

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online Accountant account.
2. Go to Sales and select Customers. 
3. From the New customer ▼ dropdown list, select Import customers.
4. You can download a sample file of what QuickBooks Online Accountant is looking for as a reference.
5. Select Browse and choose the file of customers to upload. Select Open, then select Next. 
6. Map the data fields to the QuickBooks Online fields, then select Next.
7. Review and select Done.
8. You can now import returns, and the system should be able to match the names from the client list to the return import. For more information on importing returns, see the section on ProFile in this article.
9. If you're using Pro Tax, once complete, you can batch carry forward returns.
