Importing employee data: 

  • You can't import employee information from another application.
  • When you convert a company file from QuickBooks Desktop to form a new QuickBooks Online company, the conversion includes employee contact information, but not payroll data.

Exporting employee data: 

You can export employee information by creating a report and exporting it to Microsoft Excel.
