How to fix the Adobe Reader error 103:103 when opening previous reconciliation reports

When opening previous reconciliation reports, you may see the following error in Adobe Reader: There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (103:103)
If so, this error can be easily fixed in a few simple steps.
This error can be fixed by disabling the Adobe Reader’s Enable Protected Mode at startup setting:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Launch Adobe Reader.
- Click on the Edit menu, select Preferences.
- In the Categories list, select Security (Enhanced).
- Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at Startup.
- Click OK.
- Close Adobe Reader.
You should now be able to reopen QuickBooks Online and view previous reconciliation reports.
