System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2024

Are you using Windows Server 2012?

Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows Standard and Essentials Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2 after Oct 10, 2023. For this reason, QuickBooks 2024 won't support Windows Server 2012 and can’t be installed on it.

Note: Linux and Windows 10 S Mode not supported. QuickBooks requires you to use Windows natively and not through an emulator or virtual environment.

QuickBooks Desktop 2024 requires internet connection at least once every 14 days. This lets QuickBooks Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Premier Accountant or Enterprise subscriptions sync license information. QuickBooks will use your default browser.

QuickBooks Desktop 2024 requires a 64-bit Windows operating system and won’t run on 32-bit. Find out how to check if you have 64-bit.

If you use the Warehouse Manager in QuickBooks Desktop mobile, here's the supported devices you can use:
