Can't export a report to PDF in QuickBooks Online

If you are unable to email or export a report as a PDF file in QuickBooks Online, your report has likely reached the 50,000 cell limit. To resolve this issue you can export the report to Excel instead.

Why did my PDF export fail?
When you try to email or export any of your reports as a PDF file, you might get one of the following errors due to the 50,000 cell limit:
- “Something went wrong. Please try again later.”
- “404: Page not found.”
- The report doesn’t show up completely.
- Page is stuck on a spinning or loading wheel.
Export report to Excel
You can export the report to Excel instead to view your business's data.
To do this:
- Go to Reports
and select Standard reports (Take me there). - Select the report you want to export.
- Select the edit icon
to rename the report to distinguish it from the other reports.
- Select Save As to save any customizations done.
- Go back to Reports, and select Custom reports.
- Select the report you just saved.
- Select
icon and select Export to Excel. Your file is automatically saved in your browser’s Download folder.
