(Need to do update but it does not work). I am a previous Profile client (2014). I need a work around or steps to take to open 2011 so I can prepare a client's return. Thanks for any input!
This will not open on Windows 10 (new server).
Here is a link that documents Profile's stance on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2, published on July 2, 2020:
Microsoft support ended for Windows 7, Windows Ser... (intuit.com)
In short, it states that since Microsoft has ended support for these operating systems, Profile support will also end. "In addition, users are no longer allowed to install ProFile on any of the above operating systems or servers."
As such, you may need to install an older version of the Profile software if you wish to access your 2011 return on your Windows 7 server.
For your 2010 server, you may need to manually install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.5.2
in order to get Profile to properly install.

Hope this helps.

Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community
The latest version of ProFile, (2020.1.1) has access to 2011 returns for creating or opening those returns, therefore a 2011 return should open on a windows 10 installation of ProFile. If you cannot create a new 2011 return try using Proreg, instructions are here.
If a prepared 2011 T1 will not open, look in the backup folder to see if there is a backup for the file: the original may be corrupt
Hope this helps
