profile license not recognized

I carried forward a return from last year and when I went to save it it asked me to buy a license (2nd this year as I already had one and filed a return).


Bought the one time license, activated it, but still asks me to buy a new one each time I try to save.


Been waiting for a support callback for over an hour.


Afraid to exit as I assume I'll lose the work I just did,


Tried managing licenses but seems no way to apply a licenese to a return.


Any way around this.  What happens if I exit profile?
