Archive and view payroll tax forms in QuickBooks Online Payroll

Learn how to archive and view payroll tax forms using QuickBooks Online Payroll.

For your record keeping purposes, you'll want to archive past payroll forms. Once archived, they're easily accessible in the event you need to retrieve the information.



Archive a payroll form

  1. Navigate to Taxes and select Payroll tax (Take me there).
  2. Navigate to the Payments tab.
  3. Select Pay on the desired period to record the transaction.

Once the transaction is recorded the form will be archived automatically.



Availability of archived payroll forms

The available period for archived payroll forms is not unlimted; rather, it extends back on for a year or two.

Viewing an archived payroll form

To view an archived form:

  1. Navigate to Taxes and select Payroll tax (Take me there).
  2. Select Archived forms and filings under the Filings tab. All available archived forms are listed here.
  3. Select the necessary form.
  4. Select View.
