I have a T5013 slip which has amounts that generate the T2038. At the top of the form there is a 'link this form to:" box, but I have nothing to link it to. Without something there, I am getting a warning to "Please enter the form on which the ITC claim amounts should adjust UCC". Any suggestions?
On the T5013, make sure the Partner code is "0" in box 002, and that the line just above it says "No" for transferring to a business statement. If the message still shows in the auditor, try just right clicking the message and showing it as "Preparer Sign-off". It should not be preventing you from e-filing.
Transfer to business statements is selected at 'no' and the partner code is '0', but still generating this warning. I have tried the sign off as well, it just keeps coming back. Since it is a red warning, I'm guessing it won't let me efile it.
All I can suggest is that you post a picture of the T5013 screen and the T2038 and I will see if anything pops out at me. I cannot seem to duplicate your situation on my dummy file.
Well, I have entered everything exactly the same as you and do not get that error message. What province are you in? I can set mine the same and see if that makes a difference. Also, have you made any entries or overrides on the form T691 or T1229? Does the spouse's return have the same error message?
Thanks for your help.
Based on this I:
1) deleted the T5013 and re-entered it - Result: Still got the error message
2) started over from the beginning (carryforward, autofill, re-entered all data) and there is no error. It must have been a file specific issue.
