Resolve error 15XXX when downloading QuickBooks Desktop updates

Learn what to do should you get one of these errors when you download a QuickBooks Desktop update.
To protect your computer and its contents, QuickBooks attempts to verify the digital signature of all files downloaded through the program. If QuickBooks is unable to verify the digital signature of a file, one of these errors will occur.

Solution 1: Re-install QuickBooks Desktop
When you re-install QuickBooks Desktop, it won’t affect your data at all. But it can make sure all components are installed and registered properly. Just be sure to update QuickBooks to the latest release afterwards.
Solution 2: Update Microsoft Security Certificate
Expired Windows Security Certificate may cause this issue. To fix this, run Windows Update or download an updated certificate from Microsoft.
