In QuickBooks Online, you can easily track the total number of your customers. This can provide valuable insights into your growing business.

View your total number of customers
To get your total number of customers, follow these steps:
- Go to Customers & leads and select Customers (Take me there).
- To filter your customer data, select the Gear ⚙ icon.
- Select all the customer data you want to view.
- Select Include inactive or Include projects if you want to include them in your total.
- Select your preferred page size.
- To view the total number of customers, scroll down.
Export your customer contact list to Excel
If you want to create a mailing list or have all your customers' data in one place, export it to Excel.
- Go to Reports (Take me there).
- From the Find report by name dropdown, search for and select the Customer Contact List report.
- Customise your report.
- Email, export, or print the report.
- To email the report, select the More actions dropdown, then select Email report. Enter all the info needed, then select Send email.
- To export/print, select the Export/Print dropdown, then select Export to Excel, and follow the steps to save it.
Note: You may also select Export as CSV or Print/Save as PDF based on your preferences.
Once you have exported the file to Excel, you can sort the data based on the columns you see in the report.
