Learn how to customise your menu in QuickBooks Online.
Manage your regular bookkeeping tasks in a more convenient way through the QuickBooks Online menu. Here’s how you can customise it to manage your workflows and quickly reach your preferred QuickBooks pages.
Overview of the menu
Move around QuickBooks by hovering over the menu. Most of the menu options have a pop-up menu. Otherwise, select the icon itself if no menu appears.
- + Create opens a new transaction, project, task, or goal.
- Bookmarks show a list of pages you’ve saved for easy access.
- Home helps you plan, budget, and monitor your finances with a variety of apps. You can select Customise, then select Add or remove widgets, and then follow the next steps to tailor the page to your needs.
- Feed
shows an AI-generated summary of recent transactions and the state of your finances. - Reports collect data about your business’ activities and present them in a single document for you to study and use to help run your business.
- All apps
show the various task hubs and services you can access in QuickBooks Online.
Below these options, you can pin up to three apps for quick access. When you first open QuickBooks Online, these will be Accounting, Expenses, and Sales, but you can change them.
To add or remove pinned apps, go to Customise, then select the apps you want to include and select Save.

The All apps
menu puts your different tasks, transactions, and dashboards into specific areas, like Accounting, Customer Hub, and Projects. Select a hub or feature to choose from options related to that topic. You can bookmark individual screens from this menu by hovering over its name and selecting the bookmark icon next to it.
