QuickBooks Online price changes

From 4 December 2023 customers will see a new price on the QuickBooks website. Existing customers with a QuickBooks Online Essentials, Plus, or Advanced subscription will see a change in pricing from 15 January 2024.

Why are you increasing prices?
We understand that price increases can be unwelcome news, and we take your business seriously. At QuickBooks, supporting the needs of small businesses owners and mid-market customers, especially in the face of shifting and changing markets, is our singular focus. We are adjusting QBO prices to align with the market and so we can continue to invest in the product.

Which QuickBooks product prices are changing and when?
The price change will affect existing customers subscribed to QuickBooks Online Essentials, Plus, and Advanced starting on 15th of January 2024.
For new customers, or existing users who choose to upgrade their subscription plan, the price change will come into effect on 4th of December 2023.

What about QuickBooks Online Payroll?
The subscription price will remain the same for both accountants and small to medium businesses. The per-paid-employee charge of £1 will increase to £1.30 for SMB users, while Wholesale Billing accounts will remain at £1 per-paid-employee.
How are you telling customers about the price changes?
Accountants and small to medium business customers will be informed via email.
Please make sure that your email address is kept up to date so that you can continue to receive important updates from us.
What if I didn't get an email?
Please check your spam/junk folder. Make sure that your email provider or application allows emails from Intuit and that it isn't being moved to another folder.

I recently upgraded my subscription. Will I be subject to this price increase?
Yes, you will be subject to this price increase.
If you upgraded before 4th December 2022, you will see the new price increase on your 7th bill from your subscription date.
For example, subscriptions purchased on 15 November 2023 will see a price increase on 15 June, 2024.
Can I change my subscription plan?
With QuickBooks, you can change plans at any time. Simply go to your Account and settings in QuickBooks, select Billing & Subscription to upgrade/downgrade your plan. But please be aware that the new pricing will be applied to your subscription from 4th December 2022.
My subscription was cancelled and I'm past the 30 day re-subscribe period. Can I get the old pricing?
Unfortunately, no. You'll need to re-subscribe at the current market price.
I have a discounted subscription. Will the price changes affect me?
If you're currently on a promotional discount, your price is unaffected until the time that your promotion expires. When the promotion expires, the monthly subscription rate will be adjusted to match the new price increase.
