Edit your company pay schedule in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll

You can easily change the frequency, date, and pay period of your company's payroll schedule if you meet either of the following conditions:

  • You haven't submitted your first payroll yet.
  • You haven't deleted your first submitted payroll.

  1. Select the ⚙️ gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Select the Payroll tab.
  4. Next to Pay schedule, select the pencil icon.
  5. Select Edit pay schedule and make any necessary changes.
  6. Save your changes.

Note: Once you run your first payroll in Standard Payroll, you cannot make changes to the pay schedule. To make changes, you must delete and rerun the payroll.
