Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Self-Employed

Learn how to add or remove your accountant.

You can give your accountant access to your QuickBooks Self-Employed company file and accounting info. This lets them review your books, make corrections, and fix any tricky transactions. It also makes it easier to collaborate, especially during tax season.

Invite an accountant

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Select your profile ⚙ icon.
  3. Select Accountant.
  4. In the Invite your accountant field, enter your accountant's email address. Then select Send invite.
  5. Select Done.

This emails an invite to your accountant. After they accept it, they can access your accounts through QuickBooks Online Accountant.

Remove an accountant

If you don't want your accountant to have access anymore, you can remove them.

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Select your profile ⚙ icon.
  3. Select Accountant.
  4. Select Remove accountant.

Your accountant won't have access to your QuickBooks Self-Employed data anymore.
