To get an authorization:
- Go to http://merchantcenter.intuit.com and sign in.
- Select Processing Tools.
- Select Authorize Funds.
- Enter the card number, expiration date, cardholder name, and the security code.
- Enter the cardholder billing address (or at least the zip code)
- Select Submit.
To capture the funds:
- Open QuickBooks Payments through this site: https://merchantcenter.intuit.com
- Select Processing Tools, then select Capture Funds.
- Enter the date range of the authorization.
- Select Search.
- Select the box next to the Transaction ID for the authorization.
- Select Submit.
