Learn how to sign in to QuickBooks Desktop using your Intuit Account.

When you open or create a new company file in QuickBooks Desktop, you might see a prompt to sign in with your Intuit Account. Here’s what to do.

  1. Create a new company file or open an existing company file.
    1. You’re the admin: Select this if you’re an admin and manage the financial actions and users roles for the company file. Enter your email or User ID.
    2. I’m not an admin: Select this if you sign in to the company file with a shared QuickBooks Desktop Admin credential.
  2. Select Continue.
  3. If you’re the admin, enter your email, or User ID, then enter your Password.
  4. Select Sign In.
