Create or open a company file with your Intuit account

Learn how to sign in to QuickBooks Desktop using your Intuit Account.
When you open or create a new company file in QuickBooks Desktop, you might see a prompt to sign in with your Intuit Account. Your Intuit Account makes it easier to manage your Intuit products and services. Sign in when you add a user, sign in to MyCompany, or if you need to access Intuit User Account Management. Here’s what to do.
- Create a new company file or open an existing company file.
- You’re the admin: Select this if you’re an admin and manage the financial actions and users roles for the company file. Enter your email or User ID.
- I’m not an admin: Select this if you sign in to the company file with a shared QuickBooks Desktop Admin credential.
- Select Continue.
- If you’re the admin, enter your email, or User ID, then enter your Password.
- Select Sign In.
